Hello Sorin, as far as I can see the windmill on your picture is the kind they use in Crete for pumping up water. To use this kind of mill by adding an electric generator must be possible but I wonder if it would produce enough VA's to manage your needs within this scale. http://windenergypro...ergy-pros-cons/ Do you also think it would fit in the landscape where you live? The second point you have to take into consideration is the fact if the place where you live has enough wind capacity to make it work well. If I were you I would go for solar energy in combination with a boiler for your hot water system. If there's anything free on Crete it's the sun and the quantity of days it shines. http://www.holiday-w..._sunshine_hours is numerous. Moreover most of these systems are at hand in Crete.Hi everybody and Kalo Pascha !
Last time I have visited Crete, I saw a lot of windmills ( modern type as attached photo )
I assume people in Ierapetra area ( South-East ) took into consideration this technology as an alternative
This year I'll finish building a house in Crete and I would be very interested to install such a windmill
Does anybody knows any detail ?
Thank you
Sorin
Hope this is of any help to you.

Something went awfully wrong, Dinny can you delete the superfluous ones?
Well you did haha, but now we have another problem. Is there a way to delete a posting and then redo the procedure?

This thing too, don't understand how it came here. I'm able to edit but not to delete the bugger
