crete, reading, travel, "socialising" music, cooking. dining out, Good food (Greek of course being the favourite)
Walking whilst listening to my i-pod (birthday present)
Favourite music: just about anything but have to admit to being a huge fan of cheesy 80's pop! Also lots of other types of music from different decades.
I love cooking for friends and I think this is because I am a complete "foodie" and love the compliments!
Also most of the time I find my job very interesting (nursing) though very hard work!

Koutouloufari
04 April 2008 - 02:15 AM
Hi everyone, not been on here for a long time.. I am going back to Koutouloufari June 10th and I can't wait. This year I am taking my mum with me, as she has never been I cant wait to show her around the place I love to visit. She was in Crete about 14 years ago but we all stayed as a fmaily in Rethymno... I cant wait to see old friends again and make new ones I hope this year. I really want to hire a car myself but not sure I am brave enough having never driven abroad... Is anyone else going to be in crete and nearby in June??? always nice to meet new people, its what it is all about x x

Summers Over
31 October 2006 - 02:40 PM
So now summer is officially over how many of you are already planning you next trip to Crete. Mine is booked already
Only 251 big sleeps to go (not that I am sad or anything) Am absolutely determined to see more of the island next year so any recommendations from you all would be great. Might also be going back earlier in June but will have to start saving hard and spending less money in the pub me thinks! Whilst there I am going to be on the look out for business opportunities or places to work too. What are everyone's favourite parts of Crete?

Marni Apartments And Koutouloufari
18 September 2006 - 08:24 PM
I would love to recommend these appartments to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in the village of Koutouloufari. They are situated a 5 minute walk from the centre of the village and are some of the best we have stayed in in Greece. The appartments were clean, but basic (though we did only have a studio!!) There are 2 lovely pools and a great pool bar where you are always made to feel welcome by Sam during the day (she even took us for a night out) and Elias works nights.
Koutouloufari itself is a very pretty little village with some lovely tavernas, restaurants and a few bars. Vangelis who owns the appartment has a lovely little bar just on the corner on the way into the village near Nikos Fish restaurant.
I can also recommend Galini restaurant. It is very smart and the service is impeccable. They were very friendly and everyone there including the owner remembered us from last year. The food is out of this world and rivals mant meals I have eaten and some great restaurants in this country
A bit pricier than the others but still extremely cheap in comparison to England.
Patriko's taverna on the way into Piskopiano is also great, the food was lovely and the service friendly. It is more of your traditinal taverna. It is nice to have a bit of variety on holiday.
If you are heading out that way keep going until you fing Nostos Irish Bar. It is friendly there too and the Englidh girl who runs it with her Greek fiance remembered us too. They have brilliant memories I can tell you, but I think this makes you feel so welcome.
Anyone who is going have great fun and let the site know what you thought
