The Municipal Cultural Organization of Aghios Nikolaos (PODAN) have organized a presentation of the 2nd Edition of the book 'Circular Walks and Gorges in East Crete' by Caris Gallos and Anne Bouras on Monday, 30th March at 1900 hrs at the Chamber of Commerce in Aghios Nikolaos. (It is situated near the Puerto Bar at the harbour and is on the upper floor.)
The presentation will include photographs and a commentary about two walks and one gorge that are described in the book followed by a discussion about the area, its problems and what can be seen etc . Published by the local Council, the book is the Second Edition (the first came out in 2003), but, of course, a lot has changed so the new edition has two new walks with updates to the remainder. It has also been published in Greek, so the authors will be speaking in both Greek and English. And yes, of course, the book will be on sale in both languages!

Inco On The Web
16 February 2006 - 10:31 PM
INCO - or to give its full name, The Cultural Organisation of the Foreign Residents of the Aghios Nikolaos area (International Committee) - has finally got itself onto the Web today at http://www.inconews.com
INCO was formed way back in 1998 to represent the interests of ALL of the foreign residents in the town and the surrounding villages - not just the Brits. If you live in this area, please take a few minutes to visit the site, perhaps leave some feedback, and enter our competition.
It's early days yet but we hope that members, potential members, and others with an interest in the area
will supply us with news of forthcoming events, etc.
(Thanks Yanni, there's already a link to ExploreCrete and this Forum on the Links->Useful Sites page of our site)
