Hello!

Great website and you all seem like a friendly lot so I hope you don't mind me asking, but I could do with some advice... I am getting married in Crete next year and intend to plan this myself with help from good friends who live there (Kato Gouves). I have a couple of questions that I can't seem to find the answer to anywhere and thought somebody might be able to point me in the right direction:

1) How do I apply to Heraklion Town Hall for the wedding ceremony?
2) How long should I allow for all the relevant paperwork to be completed?

We hope to get married on 25 May 2008 and to allow guests time to organise their 'holiday' I think we need to advise them of the date now, however, I don't want to do this without gettting things confirmed first! We will be there in September - is this too late to organise the 'official' side of things?
