Despite what you read in the UK press of the problems in Greece many thousands are enjoying their holidays in Crete this year.

.....And why not? The sky is still blue, the sun is still shinning and the sea is still that same magical blue and the beaches are the same as ever.

The historical sites are all open, the scenery is beautiful and the famous Greek hospitality is available in abundance!.

The added bonus this year is that due to deflation it will cost you less than your last visit.

What are you waiting for?

John

John, Oh how i wish i could come once more to my beloved Crete, and i totaly agree with your sentiments.

Sadly for me my ill health would make it very difficult to travel, Parkinsons, plus arthritis is a cruel painful daily experience. Add the fact that i'm now alone because  of recent divorce and my dream holiday would be nigh impossible without help and support. I can still drive though and have explored most of eastern, southern, and western Crete, so if there is someone out there looking for a holiday buddy then get in touch.

In the meantime i hope the problems Greece currently has are swiftly resolved.

I love my dual life but from my sofa in the UK do wish I was in Crete right now. Facinating times for observers but the outcome and impacts are so important for those that live in Crete.

Sorry to hear you are poorly Graeme, I hope you find someone to travel with.

Hi John, perhaps you could give I've us some updates over the next few weeks.
