Hi, we are planning a move to Crete as soon as we sell up here. On a personal level we have lived outside of the U.K. for just over eighteen years now and a change is imminent as it feels like it's time to move on. Hopefully the present dilemma in Greece will not hinder our choice of the next settlement for us. Although we have visited Crete a good few times including this March and soon, next month again, we did not buy there in 2003 when we first intended to live there. Fingers crossed and this time we will hopefully rent and in the Apokoronas area.

Hello Tel, good to see you here.

A bad time to buy for one person is a great time to buy for another person. From my own observations I'd say it's a buyers market at present and I can't see this changing for a good while. I'd just say the obvious, find a reputable estate agent and make sure the lawyer dosn't work for both the vendor and buyer.

If you have any specific questions about buying/living in Crete post away.

Best wishes, Yvonne x
