That looks dreadful! Surely this shouldn't have happened even with the heavy rain? Presumably the roads are built to withstand earthquakes, so they should be strong enough for rain. I know this was an exceptionally heavy storm and hopefully when it's rebuilt it will be made stronger as this isn't unknown in Crete during the winter.
