We use International Life - not cheap, but a choice of policy options to suit individual needs. We've opted for cover including nursing care in hospital (as we have no family here) and private rooms, so this is pretty well the works, but you can have various different levels, depending on circumstances. We had an increase last year, once I turned 50, and we'll probably get another one next year, as my husband will be 60. Other than that, though, the prices have stayed reasonably stable (ie with just inflation type increases). Talk to your local IL office and get them to take you through the full list of options. We also use them for house insurance and again, very comprehensive.
