Anybody know where i can dance Salsa or Latin Music in Crete? Near Gouves?

No, I'm italian, Venice!.. i will come in Crete for holiday (23/07 to 05/08)..

Ciao Manu,

I think that it Salsa dancing is not among the most important things you would look for in Crete - although I agree with you that it is fantastic! - so it will probably be a total coincidence if somebody would happen to know anything about it taking place in the area where you are going.



But you might consider spending your holidays learning some Greek dances - I assure you they are just as funny! :)

I must say, that's what I was thinking too. If Salsa dancing is what you want from a holiday maybe Spain or Latin America would be slightly more apt?

Get some Raki down you and give Greek dancing a go - so much more fun! :)

Why would anyone want to do Salsa dancing in Crete??????Greek Dancing is the best fun you could have there lol ... not wishing to offend you but I certainly would not go to Crete for the Salsa. I am going on holiday there from Aug 12 untill Sept 1 and I hope to dance many night away .. Greek of course lolol


Sorry that should have read Aug 18th untill 1 Sept. and I will be based in Groves too ... lolol

I like dance salsa..is a problem if a person dance it in crete? i'm sure that greek dance in beautiful, but i can't dance it!!
In Italy you can dance salsa, italian and also greek dance..

Hello,
there used to be a Mexican restaurant in Gouves owned by a woman from Mexico, if I am not wrong, and people could dance all kinds of latin dances. If the restaurant is still open, then it sounds like the right place for you.
I don't know the name but I don't think it will be difficult to find it, if you ask in Gouves.

i'm just return from Crete... :rolleyes:

i have found a place to dance salsa! if you go to Bali beach, near Agia Pelagia, there is a bar in front of the sea where you fing salsa, bachata and rumba de casino music!
