October is great (my favourite month, so far) warm days for beach, cool days for walking, perhaps chilly evenings and be prepared for rain. (Although rain is not what you want the first rains bring a second "spring" so it is worth it.)

As with the UK climate things change in Crete - we have enjoyed two windless weeks with constant high temperatures but we had very autumnal weather last year.

What ever the weather you are sure to have a great time - this forum has lots of different ideas of things to do and see - have fun.
