Hi!
I am getting married in Crete (the area around Hersonissos) in September. We have a wedding planner who organised most things for us except for a beautician (for make-up) and hairdresser (they have found one for us but I was not too happy when we went to see the lady so I am thinking of changing).
I would really appreciate if anyone could advise good beauticians in particular and then perhaps hairdressers as well.
Thank you very much!

Welcome to the site Una, but I'm afraid that I haven't got a clue about the area of Crete that you are enquiring about. Have you voiced your concerns to the wedding planner? Maybe they could find another lady who would be more acceptable to you. If you getting married in September would there be any chance of popping over to have a 'recce' or is this out of the question? I hope you find a hairdresser who you are happy with but I am sure that you will look radiant in anycase.
All the best for the wedding and I hope someone will be able to answer your plea.
...you've probably thought of and done this but try Google. I went on there and typed in hairdressers, Crete and it brought up loads of hotels with hairdressers. You may be able to contact the hotels and see if they could/would be able to help you. But again you won't have any feed back as to just how good they are. Just an idea....best of luck.

Thanks Dave!
I found the website Crete Yellow pages and looked there, I've tried contacting a few places but still no answer.
I suppose I should talk to the wedding planner but I don't want to come across as a real ''bridezilla" who is freaking out over things that ''might not sound right" if you know what I mean. The main reason I wasn't happy with the suggested hairdresser is that she was trying to force her opinion on me when we were there in April and telling me that I am ''too thin to have an updo (?)" and then suggested the most hideous hairstyle as ''perfect for me''.
Thanks for your help and ideas, I'll keep looking!

Best of luck with the plans. It is your day so don't be frightened of appearing as a 'bridezilla' to the organiser, I'm sure that they would rather have a happy customer than one who 'freaks out' when she sees her hair-do. However, I am sure that, no matter what you think, that in the eyes of your partner you will be absolutely stunning and radiant as you exchange vows.
Post a wedding picture on the site so we can make everyone jealous of you!!( Well the women, maybe!!).

Cam,
thanks for your reply, is Nikki's a beaty salon, do you perhaps have their phone number/address/web site, I tried Google-ing it but all the returns are about the restaurant with the same name.
Thanks!

Una, I'm sure there's a website that provides a Greek equivalent of a directory for numbers, if i can trace it i'll pm it to you.
