geez, I give up, this place makes strange things out of my messages... what was once a beautiful picture is now just a red cross... well, my destiny might be that of Florence Nightingale :-P

Happy Easter to everyone - especially the ones wishing they were here but are not... And also to those having enjoyed the Greek Easter here where it happens, Yvonne & Alan and Lars & Co. and Yannis of course and who knows who else. It has been fantastic so far, everybody is celebrating and we had a giant fireworks show in Pitsidia last night.

Too late for my "Happy Easter" wishes, as I have just returned from a long Easter weekend in Agios Nikolaos, where the most impressive firework show takes place by the town's lake.
The weather was nice, I was with good friends and I had a great time. I also found out that being far from the computer feels so nice that I should do it a lot more often...

Oh, Yannis, I didn't see you among all the people hanging around the lake! I was there Friday with my Danish guest and we were wondering if the "hanged guy" in the lake was supposed to be Sgt. Niklas - he did have a red cap, so maybe setting fire to him would symbolize that Christmas was over. We do say in Denmark that Christmas lasts till Easter... :-)

Dinny,

you didn't see me there because I was not :)

I arrived one day later and the photo I took of Judas shows no red cap on his head...

Attached File  judas_C5404.jpg   13.33KB   71 downloads

Judas was hanging on a platform floating in the middle of the lake of Agios Nikolaos and the whole structure was set on fire exactly at midnight, when the priest announced the Resurrection of Christ.
