I have heard disturbing things about my favourite place on Crete - Makrigialos. First there was a fire in Taverna Porfira and the owner refused to work there anymore. Now when I look at real estate agencies I notice thera are a lot of bars and tavernas for sale. Does anyone know what is going on down there?

I've been to Makrigialos a couple of times and have fallen in love with that place. When i hear disturbing roumors about my favourite place on earth i get a little bit worried. With a little bit of luck i might have the time and money to come down there this autumn.
