I'll show you where the heroine of my story, Rodanthe actually lived, the church where her father was the Papas and other key areas that relate to the story.
Feedback from other people is that the tour really helps to bring the story alive.
Of course, no purchase of the book is necessary, but I will be pleased to let you know where you can buy a copy.
I look forward to meeting you.
Sorry to hear you are poorly Graeme, I hope you find someone to travel with.
Hi John, perhaps you could give I've us some updates over the next few weeks.
The sun will shine and the water is warm, as is the welcome! Enjoy your holiday and let us know how you get on. X
A bad time to buy for one person is a great time to buy for another person. From my own observations I'd say it's a buyers market at present and I can't see this changing for a good while. I'd just say the obvious, find a reputable estate agent and make sure the lawyer dosn't work for both the vendor and buyer.
If you have any specific questions about buying/living in Crete post away.
Best wishes, Yvonne x

Hi Mike and Jane, sorry to miss you. Do say Hi if you're ever back this way. My guess is that the forum got clogged with spam or hit by a virus, but I agree it's good to see the forum open again. x
The event is to celebrate the launch of my novel, Kritsotopoula, Girl of Kritsa, based on the true story of a village lass called Rodanthe who fought against Ottoman oppression in 1823.
In many ways my writing journey started on this forum and the Explore Crete site certainly proved to be my favourite research tool, a fact that I've given sincere thanks for in the acknowledgements section.
If you use Facebook you can find full details via this link:
In summary, the event is in the centre of the upper part of Kritsa high street outside of Nikitakis gift shop and Aristidis Cafe, from 5.30 p.m.
There will also be a book signing event at Eklektos Bookshop, Elounda on 9th June and we'll be having cake to celebrate the fact that it's Rodanthe's name day.
I'll be delighted if you can make either of these events. X
I'm heading to Kritsa for May, so hopefully I'll I find out More details to post here. X
