Hello from Canada. I know this is a very late reply to this quiry but I have first hand knowledge of the Mazoxi experience. Three of our dance troupe participated in Mazoxi in 2002 and it is something I will treasure for the rest of my days. What a wonderful way to learn about Greek culture and make new friends.
I strongly suggest that participants have a strong background in folk dance and are in good condition as some of the classes took place in plus 40 temp and lasted 3 hours non stop. However, the facilities were excellent and the food was the best. I would also suggest renting a car as the best way to see more of the country.
If you would like to know more I am more than willing to tell more.
