I will have to work while i am there, and have to use a laptop.Do anyone know if the hotels usually have internet connections in the rooms and what kind of. I can use my mobil to connect, but thats quite expensesive, is it possible to buy a mobil in crete to connect internet locally. Thanks

You can buy an internet Prepaid card, like a SMILE & WEB by OTE, the greek telecommunications company. Your hotel will charge you for the use of the phone line but that won't be so expensive. You will have to check with them for their rates. However not all hotels offer a telephone line in your room. The very small ones don't, so this is something you should consider as well.
Finally, you can also go to an Internet cafe. In Heraklion the rate is 1,50 EUR per hour. In other areas it could be more expensive.
