Just enjoyed a good read with an afternoon cuppa - some weighty topics this time.

Here in the UK we have the sort of weather we would hope for in June and whilst the affect of global warming is enjoyable today it is easy to see why the threat of desertification is a problem in Crete. (We already have grass going brown due to a lack of the traditional April showers.)

Thanks as always to Yannis and team.

I am probably being a little thick or as I have discovered a hole in my sock that I keep my marbles in, maybe I have lost too many.

I have registered twice to view the Crete Gazette but cannot figure out how to view it - please help.

Hi, Alistair, that's because the Crete Gazette hasn't been updated for some time. It's a shame as there were always interesting items, but I understand Yiannis has other things to do at the moment.

Thanks Pam - I thought that I had totally lost the plot.
