The Toast Club certainly is still in Fira (I didn't go in though, I was only there in the daytimes). The best fast food place I found was the Taka Taka Mam (no menu and being able to speak Greek helps!) in Emporio.

I managed to explore the entire island in the week I was there, it was great fun. It was a little too cold for swimming in the sea though (so only a few underwater pics). Also the little 24 hour bakery in Perissa is amazing!
Curiouser and curiouser.....

Hi, Santo - good to see you back again. Bet you're looking forward to getting out again next week! We're staying in Kalyves for the first few days before heading down to Matala for the gathering - maybe see you there?

sadly at this moment we have cancelled our proposed trip next week, it may be that I appear on my own but won't know until 24th May.

If I don't get there I certainly will later in the year and will catch up with those out there.

Sorry to hear your moving Dinny, but will find you whatever B) (and will call you next week)

Ton will call you next week my friend.

Have a great time on the 26th those of you there.

Santo, so sorry you're not coming out next week - we were really looking forward to seeing you both again. Fingers crossed you make it on your own.

That is truly bad news, Santo, I was so much looking forward to seeing the two of you again since we had a lot of fun last year.

If you have cancelled your trip in fear of getting more bruises I could make an effort and try to behave better, I really could! Please, please see if you can make it. (depending on your boss - or on getting a ticket?)

No-one is more upset that I won't be there (currently) than me. B)

Dinny, it's not because of the bruises, it's more to do with the situation of my intention to move out there and someone not willing to talk about it. (something I spoke to you and Pam about previously).

Since this thread seems to have lost it's original intention I might as well put in something to laugh B)

If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.

(Hardly seems worth it.)

If you farted consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb.

(Now that's more like it!)

The human heart creates enough pressure when it pumps out to the body to squirt blood 30 feet.

(O.M.G.!)

A pig's orgasm lasts 30 minutes.

(In my next life, I want to be a pig.)

A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death. (Creepy.)

(I'm still not over the pig.)

Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories a hour

(Don't try this at home,
maybe at work)

The male praying mantis cannot copulate while its head is attached to its body. The female initiates sex by ripping the male's head off.

(Honey, I'm home. What the...?!)

The flea can jump 350 times its body length. It's like a human jumping the length of a football field.

(30 minutes..lucky pig! Can you imagine?)

The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds.

(What could be so tasty on the bottom of a pond?)

Some lions mate over 50 times a day.

(I still want to be a pig in my next life...quality over
quantity)

Butterflies taste with their feet.

(Something I always wanted to know.)

The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue.

(Hmmmmmm......)

Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people.

(If you're ambidextrous, do you split the difference?)

Elephants are the only animals that cannot jump.

(Okay, so that would be a good thing)

A cat's urine glows under a black light.

(I wonder who was paid to figure that out?)

An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain.

(I know some people like that)

Starfish have no brains

(I know some people like that too.)

Polar bears are left-handed.

(If they switch, they'll live a lot longer)

Humans and dolphins are the only species that have sex for pleasure.

(What about that pig??)

Now that you've smiled at least once, it's your turn to spread these crazy facts and send this to someone you want to bring a smile to, maybe even a chuckle.

In other words, send it to everyone ! (and God love that pig!)

True is that adage: "He who yields to rule by wooden heads, becomes himself a fool."

Just checked on BA flights and the price was cheap so have booked to come out on 19th September, back 28th. Don't know where we're going yet, but it will certainly involve a visit to Dinny and Ray!

At last, something to look forward to - post-holiday blues hit again.
