Since I have been married to a Scorpio I can't help but remaining interested in these little things.

These are the ones you can meet in Crete :)

Be careful :)

It's a pity you cannot get an idea of the size from the photos - Last year I met a tiny little scorpion in my kitchen sink, it was just some 3-4 cms long from head to tail, so I wasn't really scared, just surprised. Like in real life I would avoid contacts with Scopio's, also in this case we said a quick goodbye while I washed it down the drain.... :)

In a way Dinny you can, if you look at some of the details in the background of the pictures you can more or less see how they relate to the size of the scorpio.....

As for the rest of your comment; I think Scorpios are a very interesting phenomena. Did you know the female kills her spouse after having performed his marital duties? And that they kill them selves when they wind up in a deadly situation? Uhmm, good think though, the male does'nt know where he's into....

Which means that if you want to play with fire Scorpio's give a lot of fun :)

Be adventurous :)

P.S. Andras what do you mean with I met a Scorpio? Was it a the Arthropods kind? :P

Hi Andras,

You must have seen a very rare one. As far as I know the E. carpathicus can only be found in Romania.

But you never know with these creatures they seem to swim oceans when in heat :)

Take care :)

What did you mean with "specific gravity" (sg)?

You're right Andras,

But due to latest research (2003) the E. carpathicus is restricted to Romania and the one you saw in my link seems to has been renamed: E. naupliences, and was split from the E. italicus.

Pfff :)

Interested?

Don't be Chelle, is that short for Michelle?

Was it a male one? About 6 foot tall, blond hair and blue eyes? B)

Our neighbour was stung by one recently whilst gardening. He was bitten on the hand, but the pain went right up to his elbow and he was in a lot of pain for around 4 days before he felt any better. Nasty!
