Hej Dinny.

Tak for hilsnen. Jo, selvfølgelig gav jeg da en lille én

Nu venter jeg bare på den største fødselsdagsgave: Et barnebarn. Det kan komme når som helst i disse dage.

Hi Al,

Dinny quoted an old Danish celebratory song, basically about Brigit buying a round ...

And Birgit, being a good sport, answered in the affirmative, and added that the greatest birthday present she could receive is a grandchild, who is due to make an appearance any day now.

So congratulations on both fronts to Birgit from me too,

Henry.

Henry, thank you for the excellent translation. Your knowledge of Danish keeps amazing me.

And I can tell you that my grandchild was born Tuesday, a lovely little girl, who will be named Caroline. So now all my wishes have come through.

Regards
Birgit

Congratulations, Birgit!
Nothing like being a grandmother, eh? I should know, I have already THREE of these small things! ;-)
