Wouldn't that give you an extra reason to learn Greek faster?

You've got a point there, Yannis! Actually, these days I'm a bit complaining about being always surrounded by people who speaks Italian or English, so I'll never learn Greek that way!

Well, this morning I had my FIRST telephone conversation in Greek! :)
(my landlady from the Acropol restaurant called me to tell me her husband George would come now and pick up the sofa, which was to be taken away from the house)

- Parakalò
- Kalimera!
- Kalimera ...?
- Ime Voula tis Acropol
- Ah! Yassu!
- Yassu. TORA ... Jorgos... canapè .... Endaxi?
- Ah! Endaxi! Efkaristo polì
- Endaxi! Sto kalò
- Yià

I won't go trying out your recepee just now, Yannis.
Maybe after a few more lessons...

Bravo Dinny

Wait until you tell your first joke/funny story in Greek, then you will really feel good. :(

I have met Yannis and am trying to imagine this Cretan man working in the kitchen. Yanni, you have hidden talents. Invite us all to dinner sometime soon. Ta leme.
