Heraklion Airport

If you want to go to Heraklion airport by bus, you will be dumped on the roadside amidst heavy traffic. The Greek taxidrivers must have a strong union, we had the same problem in Chania international airport: no useful bus connection. Most important: we got our bag with the either downs inside!

After having enjoyed delicious grilled goat with friends we accessed www.lostbags.com on their computer and learned that our bag was now in Heraklion airport.

Some days were not smiling at us. The African fog hiding the sun and dumping their dust on Kritsa. The young bougainville can be seen on the right.

The removal of the fig tree provides sunshine for a red bougainville climber. Sissel is eagerly watching it being stringed up on the wall by Niko.


The Fig Tree

Our new neigbour accepted having the fig tree cut down, said to obstruct traffic on the public road. We miss the figs and the
shade.


Garden

Our land includes a small garden where our neighbour had planted potatoes and beans. We thought it was high time to claim our right to the property, and have planted a lemon tree and some strawberries.


Our New Pergola

We have plans for a table and an electric connection to boil our coffee. Bottles will be hoisted onto the roof using the basket.


The Solution

For privacy we have the 70 m2 roof terrace, but protection against rain and sun was needed. As before, carpenter Niko was the solution
